Welcome 2 Bonaire in Sanders Bonaire Apartments

Apart from the famous diving, the island has a lot of other active and non-active possibilities to offer. Check out our links.

Bonaire’s famous symbol is the flamingo. This beautiful colored bird has different breeding locations on the island like the ‘Pekelmeer’ and in the National Park Washington Slagbaai.

But Bonaire is most famous for its well-managed Bonaire Marine Park.

The reef has been a protected underwater park since 1979. You will be amazed by all the different colors and diversity of fish. Therefore Bonaire is part of one of the best dive destinations in the world, very popular with divers and snorkelers.

Also for people that like to hike Bonaire is great. It has some great walking routes all over the island.

For the bikers among us, there are different tracks with a total length of 400 kilometers ideal for mountain biking. You can find these tracks by looking for red painted stones.

Bonaire is not just divers paradise but absolutely a windsurf paradise as well with shallow waters and constant side onshore wind. Never to worry about being blown out to sea! It is great for beginners and experienced windsurfers.

Bonaire has 201 beautiful caves; it is possible to make an adventurous cave trip while you here.

Because tourism is growing on Bonaire supplies are much better then they were. There are several supermarkets on the island as well as very nice restaurants and bars. But don’t expect a too exciting nightlife though. It just doesn’t fit in a nature island like Bonaire is.

Like we said before Bonaire is absolutely a great island for divers. Many divers have been here or would like to go to Bonaire. Every dive site is marked with a yellow painted rock. Even if you have never been diving before there are several ways to start diving like doing an introduction course or the full open water course. People from 8 years old and up can enjoy the underwater world!

We could tell you a lot more about the island but maybe you want to see it for yourself and you will understand soon why we love it so much. We hope to meet you at Flamingo Airport for an unforgettable vacation on Bonaire!
